Prosthodontist Definition

What is a prosthodontist? A prosthodontist is the most highly trained and specialised dentist in the provision of cosmetic / aesthetic dentistry.
Becoming a prosthodontist requires an extensive three year full-time training programme. With their vast array of skills they are frequently called upon to treat a wide spectrum of dental problems, from missing or broken teeth to complex, full mouth reconstructions.

Benefits of Aesthetic Dentistry

  • Give you the smile you have always wanted
  • Restore and protect damaged teeth
  • Replace missing teeth with natural looking replacements
  • Carefully diagnose and address your dental problems in a tailor-made treatment plan
  • Improve the health, comfort and appearance of your teeth
  • Provide a standard of excellence in personalised dental care

Today, when the desire for a beautiful smile is greater than ever, there are many exciting options allowing you to improve your smile.

You can enhance the beauty of your smile by restoring stained, chipped, missing or worn teeth using a variety of methods including tooth whitening, veneers, crowns, bridges or even implant-supported teeth. At Northern Cross Dental we are devoted to improving oral health and enhancing the natural beauty of your smile using state-of-the-art, high quality treatments that will result in attractive, long lasting smiles.

It’s amazing how much our smile can affect our appearance and how we feel about ourselves!

Every smile is unique. For this reason, time and skill is required to customise a Smile Design treatment plan to enhance your smile so that the end result can meet your goals and your expectations. There are many interpretations of what makes the perfect smile, from the “Hollywood smile” to making your teeth look natural and healthy.

We have the skills and training to provide you with the perfect smile for you! A thorough assessment of your smile and oral health is carried out (including the use of study models and photographs). With all the information gathered, we can advise you on how your smile can be enhanced using state-of-the-art techniques. We recommend planning the treatments on models of your teeth (diagnostic wax up) so we can plan and discuss the final result before you begin. We often trial your new smile, so it can be perfected until you are completely satisfied before the final treatment is complete!

Natural Beauty & Conservative Dentistry. We believe a natural smile is true beauty, and encourage patients to understand that with small improvements they can maintain their natural teeth as much as possible. We do not encourage patients to have aggressive, damaging treatments that they do not need.
